Our front lines need our support

Healthcare workers, police, fire and EMS are working hard to battle the spread of the coronavirus and keep our community safe. We've decided to team up with our community for a collaborative effort to serve our local hospitals and police departments.

Our efforts will focus on 2 different objectives:

NEED 1: HOT QUALITY MEALS

We have been delivering hot, fresh, meals to hospital workers at two Harnett County Hospitals and local first responders. The cafeterias have partially shut down and what is available is geared towards patients.  First responders, especially police are mostly staying in vehicles all day to cut down on time in station for safe distancing and will receive individually packaged meals.

Food is delivered and handled under strict guidelines and aims to fill their hearts and bellies and provide continued fuel for their long days. We have provided multiple meals to more than 2700 individuals and have teamed up with many members of community to help make this happen.

NEED 2: BASIC ESSENTIALS

When shifts start and end workers are finding the stores to be closed. When they can steal a minute to go everything is gone. Work a 10-16 hour day with PPE on for most of it and get to the store and there is no food and all you had all day was a sandwich wrapped in plastic made last week and water and how would you feel?

We’re helping deliver some take-home food to those workers like: canned vegetables, fruit, pasta, spaghetti sauce, crackers, peanut butter, jelly, potatoes, feminine hygiene products, soap, toilet paper, toothpaste, etc.
